Benefits of FUE over Strip Harvest (FUT)

• Lack of Scar in the donor area! By removing individual Follicular units from the donor area one at a time, using an automated punch tool smaller than 1 millimeter, no sutures are needed, and the small wounds heal rapidly and with virtually invisible scars--even with a close crop Buzz Cut. Even if your hair thins slightly in the donor area as you get older, you won’t fear having to explain that telltale scar.

• Minimal discomfort!  A major complaint of patients experiencing the FUT strip method is PAIN from the donor wound.  Scalp skin is very tight, and even a small amount of stretching creates painful tension that lasts for days or weeks.  Following the FUE technique at ANew Aesthetic, most patients are very comfortable, requiring little or no pain medication the evening after the transplant, and there’s no need for painful removal of stitches weeks later.

• Natural results!  The FUE method allows Dr Vicky to select the best follicular unit donors needed to recreate a natural transplant effect.  Follicular units of 1 or 2 hairs are selected to form the fine, graduated appearance of the frontal hairline.  Follicular units of 3 to 5 hairs are selected for density, to fill in the top and crown.  The transplanted hairs will be placed artistically to follow your own natural hair growth pattern and maximize the overall impact of your transplant.
